Stake HiLo Strategy Calculator

Calculate multipliers for your HiLo prediction sequences

Total Multiplier

0.000x
Final Payout

Quick Pattern Entry

Format: CardRank + Direction (H=Higher, L=Lower, S=Same). End with just a card rank to mark final card.
Examples: 2H3L2 = "2 Higher to 3, then 3 Lower to 2" | 2L2L2 = "2 Lower to 2, then 2 Lower to 2" | KSK = "K Same K"

Or Select Cards Manually

How to Use

  1. Enter a pattern like "2H3L" or use manual card selection
  2. H = Higher, L = Lower, S = Same card
  3. Total multiplier updates automatically
  4. Plan your strategy before playing!

Multiplier Guide

  • Higher from low cards: Low multiplier
  • Lower from high cards: Low multiplier
  • Higher from high cards: High multiplier
  • Lower from low cards: High multiplier
  • Total = Card1 x Card2 x Card3...

Example Sequences

  • 2H3L: 2 Higher to 3, then 3 Lower = 4.603x
  • KSK: K Same to K = 165.629x (very risky!)
  • 2L2L: 2 Lower to 2, then 2 Lower = 41.409x
  • 7H7L: 7 Higher to 7, then 7 Lower = 3.382x

Understanding HiLo Multipliers

In Stake HiLo, multipliers are determined by the probability of your prediction being correct. The less likely your prediction, the higher the payout. This calculator helps you plan sequences and understand the risk/reward tradeoffs before playing.

How Multipliers Work

Multiplier = Base Payout / Probability

Card position affects probability:

  • Low cards (A-6): Higher is likely (low mult), Lower is unlikely (high mult)
  • Middle cards (7): Equal probability both ways (~1.84x each)
  • High cards (8-K): Lower is likely (low mult), Higher is unlikely (high mult)

Example: From a 2, predicting "Higher" has 11/12 chance = 1.073x. Predicting "Lower" has 1/12 chance = 6.435x.

Complete Multiplier Reference

Low Cards (High Risk Lower)

Ace: H=1.07x, L=12.87x

2: H=1.07x, L=6.44x

3: H=1.17x, L=4.29x

4: H=1.29x, L=3.22x

Lower predictions from low cards pay big but rarely hit

Middle Cards (Balanced)

5: H=1.43x, L=2.57x

6: H=1.61x, L=2.15x

7: H=1.84x, L=1.84x

8: H=2.15x, L=1.61x

Card 7 is perfectly balanced - equal odds both ways

High Cards (High Risk Higher)

9: H=2.57x, L=1.43x

10: H=3.22x, L=1.29x

J: H=4.29x, L=1.17x

Q: H=6.44x, L=1.07x

K: H=12.87x, L=1.07x

Higher predictions from high cards are the riskiest plays

Strategy Approaches

Conservative Strategy

  • Always predict the most likely outcome
  • Higher from low cards (A-6)
  • Lower from high cards (8-K)
  • Small multipliers but high win rate
  • Chain multiple safe predictions
  • Build multiplier gradually (1.07 x 1.07 x 1.07...)

High Risk Strategy

  • Predict against probability for big multipliers
  • Lower from low cards (huge payout)
  • Higher from high cards (huge payout)
  • "Same" predictions (12x+ but ~8% hit rate)
  • Single big wins but frequent losses
  • Higher house edge impact

Common HiLo Mistakes

Chasing Losses

After a loss, don't increase bets or take riskier predictions thinking you're "due" for a win. Each round is independent.

Ignoring House Edge

The multipliers are set so the house always has an edge. No strategy overcomes this - the math guarantees long-term house profit.

Overextending Chains

Long winning chains look impressive but each additional prediction multiplies your bust risk. Know when to cash out.

Misunderstanding "Same"

Same card predictions seem exciting at 12x+ but only hit ~6-8% of the time. The expected value is still negative.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Stake HiLo and how does it work?

Stake HiLo is a card prediction game where you guess whether the next card will be higher or lower than the current card. Each correct prediction multiplies your payout. The multiplier depends on the probability - predicting higher from a King (unlikely) pays more than predicting higher from a 2 (very likely).

How are HiLo multipliers calculated?

Multipliers are based on probability. With 13 card ranks (A-K), predicting "Higher" from a 2 has 11 possible winning cards out of 12, giving a low ~1.07x multiplier. Predicting "Lower" from a 2 has only 1 winning card (Ace), giving a high ~6.4x multiplier. The house edge is built into these payouts.

What is the best HiLo strategy?

The safest strategy is making high-probability predictions (Higher from low cards, Lower from high cards) for small but consistent multipliers. Risky strategies like "Same" predictions or going against probability offer huge multipliers but very low win rates. There is no strategy that overcomes the house edge.

How do I use the pattern input?

Enter card ranks followed by H (Higher), L (Lower), or S (Same). For example, "2H3L" means starting at 2, predict Higher, land on 3, then predict Lower. The calculator validates your sequence and shows the combined multiplier for the entire chain.

What does the "Same" (S) prediction mean?

The Same prediction means guessing the next card will be the exact same rank. This is extremely unlikely (only 3 cards out of 51 remaining) and offers very high multipliers. For example, predicting K Same K pays over 12x but has roughly an 8% chance of success.

Can I actually win at HiLo long-term?

No. Like all casino games, HiLo has a built-in house edge (typically 1-3%). While you can win individual sessions, the math ensures the house profits over time. Use this calculator to understand multipliers and set realistic expectations, but never gamble more than you can afford to lose.
