No-Vig Calculator
Remove the bookmaker's margin to find true fair odds
What Are No-Vig Odds?
No-vig odds (also called true odds or fair odds) are betting odds with the bookmaker's margin completely removed. In a fair market, the implied probabilities of all outcomes sum to exactly 100%.
Sportsbooks add vig (vigorish/juice) to create an overround above 100%, ensuring profit regardless of outcome. This calculator reverses that process to reveal the true market probabilities.
The No-Vig Formula
The calculation involves three steps:
Given odds: Team A -110, Team B -110
Implied Prob A = 110 / (110 + 100) = 52.38%
Implied Prob B = 110 / (110 + 100) = 52.38%
Total Overround = 104.76% (the 4.76% is the vig)
True Prob A = 52.38% / 104.76% = 50.00%
Fair Odds = +100 / +100 (even money)
Finding Value with No-Vig Odds
The key to profitable betting is finding positive expected value (+EV) bets. Here's how no-vig odds help:
- Step 1 - Find Sharp Lines: Use odds from sharp books like Pinnacle or Circa. These books have the lowest vig and most accurate lines.
- Step 2 - Calculate No-Vig: Enter the sharp book odds here to get the true fair odds. This becomes your benchmark for value.
- Step 3 - Compare Books: Check other sportsbooks. Any odds better than your no-vig fair odds represent a +EV opportunity.
Understanding Vig Percentages
Different sportsbooks charge different amounts of vig. Understanding typical vig ranges helps you identify which books offer better value:
- Sharp Books (1-3% vig): Pinnacle, Circa, and other market-making books. Best for getting accurate no-vig lines.
- Major US Books (4-5% vig): DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM on standard lines. Sometimes offer reduced vig promos.
- Recreational Books (6-10%+ vig): Higher margins on parlays, props, and less liquid markets.
3-Way Market No-Vig
For soccer and other sports with draw outcomes, no-vig calculations work the same way but with three outcomes. The calculator supports this by letting you add a third outcome. The vig is distributed proportionally across all outcomes.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are no-vig odds?
No-vig odds (also called true odds or fair odds) are betting odds with the bookmaker's margin removed. They represent what the odds would be in a perfectly efficient market where the sportsbook takes no cut. By calculating no-vig odds, you can see the true probability the market assigns to each outcome.
How do I use no-vig odds to find value bets?
Compare the no-vig odds from sharp books (like Pinnacle) to the odds offered at other sportsbooks. If a book offers better odds than the no-vig line, you have a positive expected value (+EV) bet. For example, if the no-vig fair odds are +150 and a sportsbook offers +160, that's a value bet.
What is the difference between implied probability and true probability?
Implied probability is calculated directly from the odds and includes the bookmaker's vig. True probability (no-vig probability) removes the margin to show the actual chance of each outcome according to the market. Implied probabilities for all outcomes sum to over 100%, while true probabilities sum to exactly 100%.
Why are sharp book no-vig lines important?
Sharp sportsbooks like Pinnacle have the most accurate lines because they accept large bets from professional bettors. Their no-vig odds are considered the closest approximation to true probabilities. Many professional bettors use Pinnacle's no-vig lines as a benchmark to identify value at other books.
Can I calculate no-vig odds for 3-way markets?
Yes! This calculator supports 2-way and 3-way markets. For soccer match results (Home/Draw/Away) or other 3-way markets, simply click "Add Outcome" to add a third option. The calculator will remove the vig proportionally from all three outcomes.
How accurate are no-vig calculations?
No-vig calculations are mathematically precise for removing the bookmaker's margin. However, the "true" probability is still just the market's best estimate. Sharp books with low vig (1-3%) provide more accurate baselines than recreational books with high vig (5-10%).
