How to Verify Stake Drill Results
Step 1: Get your seed data from Stake
To verify a Drill bet, you need three pieces of data:
- Server Seed (Unhashed): Go to Settings → Fairness on Stake. Click "Unhash" next to your active server seed to reveal it.
- Client Seed: Found in the same Fairness settings page. You can use Stake's default or set your own.
- Nonce: Each bet has a unique nonce. Find it in your bet history by clicking on the bet.
Note: You can only verify bets made before you unhash the server seed.
Step 2: Enter your data in the form above

- Enter your Client Seed exactly as shown on Stake
- Enter the Server Seed (Unhashed) - this is the revealed seed, not the hash
- Enter the Nonce for the specific bet you want to verify
The verifier calculates the multipliers using Stake's exact HMAC-SHA256 algorithm.
Step 3: Compare the results with your bet
After clicking Verify, you'll see the calculated Drill results:
- The verifier displays multiple multipliers generated for that bet
- Compare these with your actual bet outcomes in your Stake history
- Each layer in Drill has its own multiplier result
- The numbers should match exactly

How does Stake Drill work?
Stake Drill is a mining-themed game where you drill through layers to collect multipliers. Each layer has a randomly generated multiplier that can range from 1.00x to a maximum of 2,000,000x. The game uses a 2% house edge (98% RTP). You decide how deep to drill - cash out early for smaller but safer wins, or risk going deeper for potentially massive multipliers.

How is the Drill multiplier calculated?
The HMAC-SHA256 algorithm generates random bytes from your seeds and nonce. Each 4 bytes are converted to a float value between 0 and 1. The multiplier formula is: u < 0.02 ? 1 : min(0.98 / (1 - u), 2,000,000). This means values below 0.02 result in a 1x multiplier, while higher values produce multipliers up to 2,000,000x.
Why doesn't my verification result match?
Common reasons for mismatched results:
- Using hashed server seed: You need the unhashed (revealed) server seed, not the hashed version.
- Wrong nonce: Each bet has a unique nonce - verify you're using the exact nonce for that bet.
- Seed pair mismatch: The seeds must be the pair that was active when the bet was placed.
