How to Verify Stake Mines Results
Step 1: Get your seed data from Stake
To verify a Mines game, you need three pieces of data plus the mine count:
- Server Seed (Unhashed): Go to Settings → Fairness on Stake. Click "Unhash" next to your active server seed to reveal it.
- Client Seed: Found in the same Fairness settings page. You can use Stake's default or set your own.
- Nonce: Each bet has a unique nonce. Find it in your bet history by clicking on the bet.
- Number of Mines: Note how many mines you selected for that game (1-24).
Note: You can only verify bets made before you unhash the server seed.
Step 2: Enter your data in the form above
Paste your data into the verification form:
- Enter your Client Seed exactly as shown on Stake
- Enter the Server Seed (Unhashed) - this is the revealed seed, not the hash
- Enter the Nonce for the specific bet you want to verify
- Set the Number of Mines to match your game (1-24)
The verifier calculates mine positions using Stake's exact HMAC-SHA256 algorithm.
Step 3: Compare the result with your bet
After clicking Verify, you'll see the calculated mine positions:
- The verifier displays a 5x5 grid showing all mine locations
- Mine positions are numbered 0-24 (top-left to bottom-right)
- Compare the revealed mine positions with your actual game outcome
- If you hit a mine, that position should match one shown in the grid
If results don't match, double-check you're using the unhashed server seed and correct mine count.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does Stake Mines work and what is the house edge?
Stake Mines is played on a 5x5 grid with 25 tiles. You choose how many mines (1-24) to place, and the remaining tiles are gems. Each successful gem reveal increases your multiplier. The game has a 99% RTP (1% house edge). More mines mean higher risk but bigger potential payouts - the fewer gems remaining, the higher the multiplier for each reveal.
Does this verifier work for both Stake.com and Stake.us?
Yes! Both Stake.com (international) and Stake.us (US sweepstakes) use identical provably fair algorithms for Mines. This verifier works for both platforms - just enter your seeds, nonce, and mine count from either site.
How are mine positions determined?
The HMAC-SHA256 algorithm generates random float values from your seeds and nonce. Each float is used to select a position from the remaining available tiles (initially 0-24). Once a mine is placed, that position is removed from the pool. This process repeats until all mines are placed, ensuring each mine occupies a unique tile.
Why doesn't my verification result match?
Common reasons for mismatched results:
- Using hashed server seed: You need the unhashed (revealed) server seed, not the hashed version.
- Wrong mine count: Make sure you entered the exact number of mines used in that game.
- Wrong nonce: Each bet has a unique nonce - verify you're using the exact nonce for that bet.
- Seed pair mismatch: The seeds must be the pair that was active when the bet was placed.
Is my bet data safe when using this tool?
Absolutely. All verification happens 100% client-side in your browser using JavaScript. Your seeds, nonces, and bet data never leave your device - we don't collect, store, or transmit any information to our servers.
How do I verify other Stake games?
We offer free verifiers for all Stake original games. Each game uses a slightly different algorithm, so make sure to use the correct verifier. Check out our Dice verifier, Plinko verifier, Limbo verifier, or view all 20 verifiers on our Stake verifiers page.
