How to Verify Stake Keno Results
Step 1: Get your seed data from Stake
To verify a Keno game, you need three pieces of data:
- Server Seed (Unhashed): Go to Settings → Fairness on Stake. Click "Unhash" next to your active server seed to reveal it.
- Client Seed: Found in the same Fairness settings page. You can use Stake's default or set your own.
- Nonce: Each bet has a unique nonce. Find it in your bet history by clicking on the bet.
Note: You can only verify bets made before you unhash the server seed.
Step 2: Enter your data in the form above
Paste your data into the verification form:
- Enter your Client Seed exactly as shown on Stake
- Enter the Server Seed (Unhashed) - this is the revealed seed, not the hash
- Enter the Nonce for the specific bet you want to verify
The verifier calculates all 10 drawn numbers using Stake's exact HMAC-SHA256 algorithm.
Step 3: Compare the result with your bet
After clicking Verify, you'll see the calculated Keno results:
- The verifier displays all 10 drawn numbers (1-40)
- Compare these with your actual game outcome in Stake
- The order may differ, but the same 10 numbers should be present
- Your payout depends on how many of your picks match the drawn numbers
If results don't match, double-check you're using the unhashed server seed and correct nonce.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does Stake Keno work?
Stake Keno lets you pick 1-10 numbers from a grid of 40 (numbered 1-40). The game then randomly draws 10 numbers. Your payout depends on how many of your picks match the drawn numbers. The game has a 99% RTP (1% house edge). More matches mean bigger payouts, with the highest multipliers for hitting all your picks.
Does this verifier work for both Stake.com and Stake.us?
Yes! Both Stake.com (international) and Stake.us (US sweepstakes) use identical provably fair algorithms for Keno. This verifier works for both platforms - just enter your seeds and nonce from either site.
How are the 10 Keno numbers selected?
The HMAC-SHA256 algorithm generates 10 float values from your seeds and nonce. Each float selects a number from the remaining pool (starting with 1-40). Once a number is selected, it's removed from the pool. This continues until all 10 unique numbers are drawn, similar to how lottery balls are drawn one at a time.
Why doesn't my verification result match?
Common reasons for mismatched results:
- Using hashed server seed: You need the unhashed (revealed) server seed, not the hashed version.
- Wrong nonce: Each bet has a unique nonce - verify you're using the exact nonce for that bet.
- Seed pair mismatch: The seeds must be the pair that was active when the bet was placed.
Is my bet data safe when using this tool?
Absolutely. All verification happens 100% client-side in your browser using JavaScript. Your seeds, nonces, and bet data never leave your device - we don't collect, store, or transmit any information to our servers.
How do I verify other Stake games?
We offer free verifiers for all Stake original games. Each game uses a slightly different algorithm, so make sure to use the correct verifier. Check out our Dice verifier, Limbo verifier, Mines verifier, or view all verifiers on our Stake verifiers page.
